What size are the trees?

Shade trees range between  1″-2.5″ caliper and at least 5 feet in height. Conifer trees are at least 4 feet in height.

When will my tree(s) be installed?

Upon completion of the sign up process, staff will be in contact to coordinate a site visit to help you choose a tree or tree(s) for your property. Planting will be arranged on a first come first serve basis during the Fall (August – December) and Spring (March – July) planting seasons.

Are the trees really free?

Yes, the trees are free. The landowner must commit to watering the tree for two years after the tree is installed to ensure the tree’s survival.

Do you plant flowers, or shrubs?

No, the program strictly provides free trees with an objective to increase new tree canopy within the Planting Zone through June 2026.
